We are pleased to announce the following promotions within the Nucor Corporation family of companies.
Steve Ashmore has accepted the new role of Commercial Director with Nucor Door Technologies (NDT). In this role, Steve will report to Dave Bangert, President, NDT, to continue strategic and tactical development of sales and customer opportunities within this new division. Previously, Steve served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rytec Corporation, leading sales and marketing functions in addition to manufacturing and operations, prior to the company’s acquisition by Nucor. Steve is a results-driven strategic leader with a strong record of accomplishment. Prior to his tenure at Rytec, he led sales teams and delivered strong and sustainable revenue results at companies such as Optimerbrands, Travelport and MatrixOne. In his new role, Steve will continue to drive revenue opportunities within the NDT division and across related Nucor teams.
In addition, Scott O’Neal has been promoted to General Manager, Rytec, effective with Steve Ashmore’s transition. As General Manager, Scott will oversee all business operations and manufacturing development at the high-performance door manufacturer and work closely with the NDT team. Scott most recently served as Vice President of Operations at C.H.I. Overhead Doors. Prior to C.H.I., Scott served as Vice President, Operations for Architectural Lighting – and other roles – at Acuity Brands, as well as previous experience as Plant Manager and Electronics Engineer at TRW Automotive.
We congratulate Steve and Scott as they assume their new roles and embark on their respective new career opportunities with Nucor Corporation. Their efforts will undoubtedly further solidify relationships and opportunities for NDT, extend collaboration among our many teammates and help Nucor ‘expand beyond.’
